Guangdong ABT Digital Paper Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as ABT) was established in 2007. The company invested RMB 146 million to successfully acquire Kodak's paper manufacturing business, laminating business, and related supporting equipment and technologies in the United States, marking a high-level, large-scale start to the company's efforts to build a domestic platform for digital paper and specialty paper products. In 2009, the company selected Xinhui, Jiangmen, a beautiful hometown of overseas Chinese in China, to establish its own production base. The location offers superior geographic advantages and convenient water and land transportation. The company is bordered by the Tanjiang River to the north and Yinzhou Lake to the east, approximately 18 kilometers from downtown Jiangmen, 120 kilometers from downtown Guangzhou, 180 kilometers from Shenzhen, and 100 kilometers from Zhuhai and Macao. The company's Phase I project is planned to involve an investment of RMB 460 million, with a designed production capacity of 80,000 tons per year. Its main products include photographic base paper, art white cardboard, release paper base, wallpaper base paper, and other medium-to-high-end specialty base papers. At the same time, it has also built a leading domestic plastic-coating production line integrating printing, double coating, and lamination. Its automatic thickness gauge and automatic grinding head are introduced technologies among similar domestic equipment and provide strong assurance for technical indicators such as flatness and uniformity of laminated products. Relying on the technical strength of the Paper Research Institute of South China University of Technology and several leaders in the specialty paper industry, the company is committed to building a comprehensive specialty paper manufacturing base integrating R&D, production, and marketing.
